Who are we?

The Access Grid Support Centre is a single point of contact for UK educational and research communities when they need assistance on any aspect of Access Grid. This support can be in the form of resolving technical issues, answering queries, providing unbiased procurement advice or assisting with events management. On issues where help cannot be provided directly, we will make every effort ensure that users know where they can go for answers.

Although we are called the Access Grid Support Centre, we also host servers which enable UK users to use EVO. As well as accessing EVO, on these servers is an EVO-AG bridge that allows EVO and AG users to connect to each.

We provide support via telephone and email between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, excluding holidays*. Although telephone is the preferred method of contact, emails are afforded the same level of service as you would expect if you had spoken to us directly. Voicemail and email can be used to log calls out of hours and they will be dealt with as soon as possible the next working day.

JANET(UK) currently manages the AGSC which is operated by and out of the University of Manchester. Our constant aim is towards the improvement of Access Grid user experiences through enhanced quality and robust, resilient services.
